These General Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the rental of laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, and related IT equipment (“Equipment”) by Sanctum Technologies Private Limited(“Company”, “we”, “us”) to customers (“Customer”, “you”). By accessing our website or renting Equipment from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

 

1. Scope of Services

The Company provides IT equipment on a rental basis, including but not limited to laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, accessories, and related peripherals, as per mutually agreed quotations, proposals, or agreements.

 

2. Rental Period

• The rental period shall commence from the date the Equipment is delivered/installed at the Customer’s location or made available for use.

• The rental period and tenure (daily, monthly, quarterly, or annual) shall be as specified in the invoice, quotation, or agreement.

• Early termination or extension of the rental period shall be subject to the Company’s written approval.

 

3. Rental Charges and Payment Terms

• Rental charges shall be as agreed in the quotation or agreement and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

• Invoices shall be raised as per the agreed billing cycle.

• Payments must be made within the due date mentioned on the invoice.

• Delayed payments may attract late fees, interest, or suspension of services, at the Company’s discretion.

 

4. Security Deposit

• A refundable security deposit may be collected prior to delivery of the Equipment.

• The security deposit shall be refunded after return of the Equipment, subject to deduction for damages, loss, or unpaid dues.

 

5. Delivery and Installation

• Delivery and installation timelines are indicative and may vary due to logistical or technical reasons.

• Any additional costs for special installation, relocation, or re-installation shall be borne by the Customer.

 

6. Ownership of Equipment

• The Equipment shall at all times remain the sole property of the Company.

• The Customer shall not sublease, sell, mortgage, pledge, or part with possession of the Equipment without prior written consent from the Company.

 

7. Use of Equipment

• The Equipment shall be used only for lawful business or personal purposes.

• The Customer shall not misuse, modify, dismantle, or tamper with the Equipment.

• Software installations, if any, shall be licensed and used in compliance with applicable laws.

 

8. Maintenance and Support

• The Company shall provide maintenance and technical support as per the agreed service level.

• Preventive or corrective maintenance shall be carried out during normal business hours unless otherwise agreed.

• Damage caused due to negligence, misuse, power fluctuations, or unauthorized handling shall be chargeable to the Customer.

 

9. Loss, Theft, or Damage

• The Customer shall be solely responsible for the safety and security of the Equipment during the rental period.

• In case of loss, theft, or irreparable damage, the Customer shall immediately inform the Company and bear the replacement cost as determined by the Company.

• Normal wear and tear is excluded from damage charges.

 

10. Insurance

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, insurance coverage for the Equipment shall be the responsibility of the Customer.

 

11. Termination

• The Company reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement in case of breach of these Terms, non-payment, or misuse of Equipment.

• Upon termination, the Customer shall promptly return the Equipment in good working condition, subject to normal wear and tear.

 

12. Return of Equipment

• Equipment must be returned along with all accessories, power adapters, cables, and original components.

• The Company may inspect the Equipment at the time of return and levy charges for missing or damaged items.

 

13. Limitation of Liability

• The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, profits, or business.

• The Company’s liability, if any, shall be limited to the rental charges received for the relevant period.

 

14. Indemnity

The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising out of misuse or unauthorized use of the Equipment.

 

15. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, government actions, or technical failures.

 

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Courts at Bangalore shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

 

17. Amendments

The Company reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on the website and shall be effective immediately upon publication.
